Meet Your 2013-2014 GHE Board.....

Patrice Bryant serves as President  She and her husband Kelvin are entering their 14th year of homeschooling. Patrice and Kelvin have been married 25 years and have three sons ages 15, 16, and 17 and one 4 1/2 year daughter (aka "The Princess"). The Bryants are members of Elim Christian Fellowship where Kelvin serves as an elder and Patrice works part time as the Administrative Assistant. They are both very active in the Youth and Financial Empowerment Ministries at Elim. Their family is also very involved with homeschool athletics in Greensboro.

Amanda Wares serves as the Vice-President. She is married to Michael, and has 4 children: Susannah, 16, Killian, 11, Katrielle, 9, and Deacon, 3. This is their 8th year homeschooling, and her 6th year on the GHE board. The Wares family is a part of a home church fellowship. Amanda loves to read (when she gets the time), plan field trips, and encourage new homeschoolers!

Andrea Spencer is the GHE board Secretary. This is Andrea’s tenth year of homeschooling. She and her husband Michael have five children ranging in ages from toddler to high school. The Spencers attend Christian City Church where Andrea is involved in the worship team and Michael is over the sound department. If you have Boxtops, Andrea loves to collect them from you to earn money for GHE! Andrea looks forward to serving you on the board this year.

Kelly Esses is the GHE Treasurer. Kelly and her husband Andrew have been married for 15 years. Andrew is a CPA for a firm in Winston Salem, and Kelly works part-time as an accounting assistant in Summerfield. They have one daughter, twelve-year-old Katie, and have homeschooled since 2004. Attending Deep River Church of Christ, Kelly is involved in teaching Wednesday night Bible class, helping to prepare meals for the Salvation Army, and other educational and community outreach projects. As a new member of the board, she is looking forward getting to know everyone better.

Christie Cheatham is one of the Activities Coordinators on the GHE board. Christie is married to Lewis Cheatham Jr. and they have 3 children: Chelsea 6 yrs old, Malachi 3 yrs old, and Ashley 1 yr old. 2012-2012 is their second year of homeschooling. A Graduate of NC State University, Christie is currently enrolled at Liberty University Online, pursuing Masters Degree in Biblical Studies.  Christie also serves as an Associate Minister and leader of the Women’s Fellowship at Friendship Baptist Church in Greensboro. Christie enjoys cooking, taking walks, and gardening, "especially seeing the seeds planted, sprout, grow, and produce vegetables and fruits, bringing nourishment to us & others, just as I see the seed of obedience to God to homeschool our children".

Mirandy Bishop will be serving on the 2013-2014 Board as our second Activities Coordinator.
